Lakeside is the ideal base for holidaymakers wishing to take some of our guided tours to experience the sights, sounds and aromas of rural India by day, returning to the peaceful serenity and comfort of Lakeside for the evening. Alternatively, why not spend the day taking one of the many local hill and lakeside walks or simply relaxing and enjoying the magnificent lake and mountain scenery. For keen golfers it may be possible to arrange a game at Kodaikanal, or experienced riders may wish to join Dorinda for a ride (subject to availability). Lakeside boasts a main building with four en-suite twin bedrooms and six attractive deluxe cottages. Breakfast is taken on the lake view verandah, while lunch is in the open-ended living area. The evening meal is taken on the large rooftop terrace overlooking the lake and mountains. Our menu offers a wide variety of both authentic Indian cuisine and continental meals. The open plan living area of the Cottages includes sleeping accommodation for two, although an extra bed can be arranged at additional cost. There is a comfortably furnished, spacious living area with cooling fans and your own private balcony with beautiful lake view. The cottages are set in the pretty gardens allowing for extra privacy and seclusion, but a gentle walk of only a minute or two brings you to the main house and dining facilities.

Lakeside is the ideal place for first time visitors to India to experience the history and culture of this fascinating land. Its stunning location, serenity, the friendliness of staff and the facilities also draw many guests back time after time to experience this uniquely enjoyable taste of India.
