The Coromandel Coast Tour
The South East India Tour along the Coromandel Coast covers five nights and into a sixth day.
The Coromandel Tour is ideal for those leaving or entering India via Chennai en route to Lakeside Guest House.
If interested in both the Kerala and Coromandel Tours consider flying into Trivandrum and out of Chennai or vice versa. When you arrive at Chennai you will need to take a taxi from the airport to Mamallapuram where the Tour begins. Days one to three give you the chance to relax and unwind. Enjoy the beach of this once thriving seaport and its amazing Shore Temples. Ask the Hotel travel desk if you wish to take local excursions.
On Day Four, our courier will join you and accompany you to Aruna’s Penance before travelling on to Pondicherry, the former French Colony. The European atmosphere still prevails and an evening meal at The Rendezvous is recommended.
Your adventure continues on Day Five with a drive to Thanjavur to visit the superb, classical 11th century Bridhadishwara Temple and the small local museum followed by an overnight stay in Tiruchirapalli (Trichy for short).
Day Six includes a tour of Trichy, with its temple, fort and spectacular views followed by the drive to Lakeside Guest House for the next part of your Indian holiday.
